Felicity is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. They hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gender Studies from Dalhousie University.
Felicity brings over a decade of experience in the helping profession, with a diverse background that includes leading outdoor expedition groups, providing support to 2SLGBTQAI+ individuals and communities, addressing the mental health needs of diverse populations, and working with complex-care mental health clients. Felicity's practice is inclusive, welcoming, and acknowledging of the complexities of identity, family dynamics, and social systems.
In sessions, Felicity works collaboratively with clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and/or their relationships. She explores new ways of communicating, navigating conflicts, and cultivating emotional intimacy. Felicity sees individuals, couples, families, and other forms of relationships as full of untapped potential to create their preferred lives, despite obstacles and difficulties.
Felicity uses an integrative approach, largely drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy. The foundational approach for techniques used is largely dependent on the client and their preference. This can include the use of language and metaphor, artistic expression, psychodrama, philosophical exploration, and more.
Felicity works with individuals, couples, and families both virtually and in person.
