Matthew Hall has a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Counselling Therapist with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. Matthew has a trauma-informed approach to therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Matthew comes from a background of working with clients with a diverse array of mental health issues as a mental health worker in an assisted living setting.
Matthew is interested in a working with diverse populations, and has experience working with such issues as abuse/neglect, substance abuse, and depression, as well as experience working with LGBTQ+, First Nations, and BIPOC communities. Time spent as a mental health worker has also provided Matthew experience with a variety of mental health disorders and issues related to acquired brain injury.
Matthew enters sessions with open-minded understanding, and humanistic approach that aims to foster a sense of ease and acceptance with clients.
