Clinical supervision at Wholetherapy
For Professionals

Clinical Supervision

EMDRIA-aligned supervision for therapists developing their clinical practice. Structured, supportive, and held to a high professional standard.

What Supervision Is

Clinical development, not just oversight

Supervision at Wholetherapy is a structured professional relationship built around the development of your clinical practice. It's where you bring the work that's challenging you, the cases that don't fit neatly into one model, and the moments where you're not sure what to do next.

Our supervisors include EMDRIA Approved Consultants and senior clinicians with significant experience across trauma, complex presentations, and integrative practice. The goal is not to give you answers. It's to help you develop the clinical thinking that lets you find your own.

Supervision here counts toward licensure hours and EMDRIA certification pathways where applicable.

Who It's For

Designed for clinicians at several stages

Supervision is structured to meet you where you are in your clinical development.

Candidates & Early-Career Therapists
RCT Candidates and newly licensed clinicians who need supervision hours and want substantive clinical development alongside the administrative requirement. We approach the work the same way regardless.
Therapists Pursuing EMDRIA Certification
Clinicians completing the consultation hours required for EMDRIA Certification or EMDRIA Approved Consultant status. Our supervisors are EMDRIA Approved Consultants and provide consultation that meets EMDRIA standards.
Social Workers Pursuing Clinical Designation
Registered Social Workers working toward their clinical designation who need qualified supervision. Our supervisors support social work clinical development alongside trauma and EMDR-focused practice.
Established Clinicians
Therapists with their own practice who want consultation with someone who works at depth. Not because you're struggling, but because thoughtful clinicians keep growing.
Specialists Working with Complex Trauma
Clinicians working with developmental trauma, attachment injury, dissociation, or other complex presentations who want supervision from someone who works in this space day to day.

Supervision Formats

How we structure the work

We offer several supervision formats depending on what serves your development best.

1:1
Individual Supervision
One-to-one sessions focused on your caseload and clinical development. Typically 60 minutes, scheduled weekly or biweekly. Best for clinicians who want deep, sustained focus on their work.
G
Group Supervision
Small-group sessions with 3 to 6 clinicians. A cost-effective option that adds the dimension of peer learning. Particularly good for clinicians earlier in their development.
E
EMDRIA Consultation
Consultation specifically designed to meet EMDRIA requirements for Certification or Approved Consultant status. Provided by EMDRIA Approved Consultants.
V
Virtual or In-Person
All supervision is offered virtually across Atlantic Canada or in-person at our Dartmouth office, depending on your preference and location.
Why Wholetherapy

Supervised by clinicians who do the work

Some supervision is offered by people who haven't seen a client in years. Ours isn't. Our supervisors are actively practising clinicians with deep, ongoing experience in complex trauma, EMDR, and integrative therapy. The supervision you receive is informed by the work we're doing every week.

We hold supervision to the same clinical standard we hold our therapy. The same rigour, the same care, the same depth.
